Raging Waters!
Kjella and I went to Raging Waters today with Rachel and Eli. Rachel and I were like two kids in a candy store. I think we possibly had more fun than Kjella and Eli!

Kjella's first art exhibit
Here is a display of Kjella's beautiful artwork. She calls the middle one on the far right 'peacock'. She kept pointing to it and saying 'peacock' so Lindsey asked her where the peacock was and she brought her into the bathroom and pointed to the peacock on the shower curtain. So fun to see her making connections!
The shower curtain peacock :) I think Kjella's peacock painting was right on but I may be slightly biased.

Whirlwind of a Month
July proved to be a very busy month! I had a work trip to MN so Grandpa and Grandma Stenehjem came to SLC to watch Kjella. After I returned, we headed to the Black Hills for the annual Kelley vacation (pictures yet to come). While we were there David's grandma - Bernice Tompte - passed away. Since we were half-way there already, we decided to drive the rest of the way to Rochester. It was a sad occasion for the Stenehjem family but it was also a celebration of Bernice's life and the amazing woman that she was - and it was so wonderful to see everyone - both Eddie and Sarah were there as well and we'll take any excuse we can get to see them :) Kjella was quite the little trooper on the long car rides along the way but was very excited to get home! We walked in the house and she instantly started yelling 'Zaz! Zaz! Zaz!' She was very excited to see her kitty. David and I had another surprise awaiting us as we walked into the house though ... a very pungent odor radiating from the fridge that had not been shut tightly when we had left 10 days prior ... You can only imagine what was growing in there (it didn't help that we had turned the air off and there had been several 100+ degree days while we were gone). UGH! We had to toss everything in the fridge - including the onion that had 6 inches of furry hair growing on it (gag-o-rama!)
Kelley sisters doing some serious dance moves to entertain Kjella. Notice that she's not even looking. I think that was just our excuse anyway. After all, do you really need a reason to boogie-down?
