Sun Valley

We headed up to Sun Valley, Idaho for the Fourth of July weekend. We met up with a wonderful crew from across the country - Sherie and Ryan (Duluth, MN), Martin and Lexi (Bozeman, MT), their friend Steven (Ventura, CA)and the ever-wonderful Guy Evans from SLC.

Kjella had a blast staying in the yurt at Galena Lodge. She was covered head-to-toe in dirt the entire time we were there but that is what camping is all about right?

'The hills are alive ... with the sound of Kjella's singing ... '

This camping business is da bomb!

Taking a little time out to stop and smell the flowers.

Princess Debut

Kjella had her first debut as a princess. David brought her to a BBQ and they had all sorts of dress-up clothes. We aren't too worried though. That same morning we had to turn her high- chair to face the window so she could watch the cement truck across the street :)

Natalie and Jared's Wedding

Natalie and Jared got hitched in Fishlake National Forest this past weekend. The weather was a wee-bit rough (constant rain with some hail and snow thrown in for good measure) but all-in-all it was a grand time. It was decided that since rain on your wedding day is supposed to bring good luck, the newlyweds are going to have the best marriage EVER! We brought our tent to camp-out but Mother Nature had other plans so we all stock-piled into a bunkhouse. Between the whining dog, crying babies (Kjella included), earth-shattering snoring, and unbelievable swamp-ass gas that the guys were letting fly (you know who you are) Kjella didn't find it too easy to sleep. I tried to have her sleep with me but every time someone would start snoring again or she would smell the rotten eggs, she would wake back up and ask 'What's that?' Or she would hear the dog and say 'Emma!' It made for a painfully long night - one of those nights that you are just praying for daylight to come so the suffering can be over! Low and behold we survived and it will definitely be a very memorable experience. Below are some pics from everything that led up to the night and the general merriment that took place :)

Finally Some Warmer Weather!

We finally had a warm day without any rain. Kjella and I celebrated by cracking open a melon in the back yard and stuffing our faces!
