Kjella was born at 7:00 this evening. She weights in at 7# 1.5 oz. It was a fantastic journey, an experience like no other. Her name is pronounced like the musical instrument "cello", but with an "a"..."cella". We consider her name a Norwegian version of Stella. The middle name, Bea "B" is for both of our grandmothers Bernice and Beverly. We will write more about the birthing process after we snuggle in for the night, but Kate was a rock star and stayed strong thoughout the epic. Thanks so much for our wonderful doula, Heather Thom; Dr. Mueller, and the all the nurses at St. Luke's. And thanks for everyones well wishes and positive thoughts. I got to say we have some pretty happy Grandparents and we are estatic, but pooped parents.
Happy Birthday Kjella!!!!!

Still waiting......
Currently, we are about 6 days over-ripe. Kate is definitely ready and we both can't wait for labor to begin so we can meet our little one. We are getting down to the wire since our pediatrician is leaving for a week long vacation this weekend. However, it is snowing in Duluth today so it would only be fitting if our child is born today with a blanket of fresh snow on the ground. We will keep you posted.....Kate is walking the stairs as I type (another wives tale to induce labor).
