Home Sweet Home

We made it back to SLC safe and sound. Kjella was very excited to see Dad, Zaz and her plethora of stuffed animals.

I think this officially was the last time I fly with Kjella without Dad! I must be a glutton for punishment! It was touch and go at the airport. I remember before having Kjella, I would see parents in the airport with their screaming children and think 'OMG, that will NEVER be my child'. Well guess what? That was MY child. Screaming. Shrieking. Inconsolable. She had bad gas pains and I could not get her to 'walk it off'. So instead we cruised around the airport for an hour with her in the Ergo - screaming and trying to fart. By the time we were boarding the plane, I was almost in tears. Our saving grace was a super funny Irish bloke seated next to us on the plane that Kjella LOVED. For some reason, she thought he was the funniest person she had ever met. He would laugh or smile and she would giggle and giggle and giggle. I bought a deck of cards for her right before we got on the plane hoping it would give her something new to play with and he played cards with her for about an hour (taking the cards out, putting them back in, taking them out, putting them back in) and let her sit on his lap so she could look out the window. All in all it actually ended up to be the best flight I've had with her. So Mr. Irish Man, wherever you are, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Back at the ranch with all of her stuffed animals.

Airports ...

Gotta love the playgrounds in the airport. Perfect place for a 15-month-old with copious amounts of energy to burn.

Maile and Kjella feeding Cedar.

Ooohh so funny!

Kjella and Kaia at the beach w/ Cedar standing guard.

Maile crashed out in the car.

Finally we're able to get all of us in a picture together!

Santa Cruz

Kjella and I are in Santa Cruz, CA this weekend visiting Jess, Steve, Maile and Kaia. We went down to the beach today. Kjella thought playing in the sand was fabulous.

Savannah

Unfortunately these are the only photos I took while in Savannah last week ... If you are into massive ships you'll think they are pretty cool otherwise they are pretty lame. Sorry. We didn't have any time for touring the city but the little bit we were able to see was very beautiful.
