My tin cup

I like to fill my tin cup up with water.

And then ....

Wait for it ....

I dump it on myself and I'm not very impressed ....

Woo-wee! Dang that's cold!

Might as well go back and do it again.

A Bathtime Story ....

Once upon a time I was getting Kjella ready for a bath but she didn't want to get in the tub ... strange .. she LOVES her baths. I quickly understood the reason for her hesitation. Low and behold it wasn't even 30 seconds after she got into the tub that I heard the tell-tale 'blurp blurp blurp' and sure enough a big 'ole brown turd surfaced. My first instinct was to grab her out of the tub so she wouldn't be sitting in the nasty poo-infested water. I picked her up, plopped her on the towel and grabbed the first thing I saw that would enable me to capture the turd - it just so happened to be the purple octopus. While all of this was taking place, Kjella decided this would be a fine and dandy time to streak through the house. She ran around laughing and - you guessed it - she wasn't done pooing ... and so she plopped 4-5 more turds in various locations throughout the house. I had to go on a horrific search and rescue mission for poo. All in all a high quality night for mom ... however, I have to admit that I did fare better than the purple octopus ...

The Suspect: Miss Kjella Bea

The scene of the crime: The tub

The poo-slayer: Mr. Purple Octopus (I can't tell if he is laughing in this photo or if he looks completely terrified ... )

'Walking' the dog

Gonna take Emma for a walk. If I can catch her ....

There she is!

Oh no! She got away!

She's almost in my grasp! Darn leash is tripping me up!

Oh man ... I wasn't quick enough. She got away again. We should have named her Houdini.

I have my eye on her. Next time she comes by I will lasso her instead!

In the doghouse

Kjella wanted to ride in the back of the truck with the dogs today. She obviously didn't get to ride back there but she did get to play for a bit while we were hanging out in the parking lot.

I was trying to get a picture of Kjella in the snow but she wasn't having it so instead you get to see a wonderful shot of her blitzing blond hair - or lack thereof :) We received another 10 inches of snow last night. Luckily it is melting quickly ...

Hogle Zoo

A Sunday at the zoo! Kjella thought the cougar looked just like her kitty Zaz ... She liked the elephants and the giraffes. Other than that she was more interested in running around the zoo than looking at anything :)

Yee Haw! Hang on to your hat cowgirl!

I'd Rather Be Outside

Kjella LOVES to be outside (what child doesn't ... ) She goes to her room and grabs her coat and hat and just waits to go ... She is really good about putting the hat on and taking it off (below it is daddy's hat) but hasn't quite figured out how to get the jacket on by herself. Practice makes perfect.

Finally outside!

Grandpa Kelley Visits

Grandpa Kelley was out this past week. The weather was pretty miserable (for a toddler) but great for the local skiers. Seven feet of snow in seven days at the ski resorts. Lots of rain/snow in the valley. However, Grandpa and Kjella still got outside to play.

All dressed up with no place to go.

Story-time with Grandpa

Smiles all around :)

Kjella thinks that she's really big stuff now that she has figured out that her socks and shoes go on her feet. Unfortunately she still can't get them on by herself but she doesn't think that she needs any help ... Oui!
