Home Sweet Home

We made it back to SLC safe and sound. Kjella was very excited to see Dad, Zaz and her plethora of stuffed animals.

I think this officially was the last time I fly with Kjella without Dad! I must be a glutton for punishment! It was touch and go at the airport. I remember before having Kjella, I would see parents in the airport with their screaming children and think 'OMG, that will NEVER be my child'. Well guess what? That was MY child. Screaming. Shrieking. Inconsolable. She had bad gas pains and I could not get her to 'walk it off'. So instead we cruised around the airport for an hour with her in the Ergo - screaming and trying to fart. By the time we were boarding the plane, I was almost in tears. Our saving grace was a super funny Irish bloke seated next to us on the plane that Kjella LOVED. For some reason, she thought he was the funniest person she had ever met. He would laugh or smile and she would giggle and giggle and giggle. I bought a deck of cards for her right before we got on the plane hoping it would give her something new to play with and he played cards with her for about an hour (taking the cards out, putting them back in, taking them out, putting them back in) and let her sit on his lap so she could look out the window. All in all it actually ended up to be the best flight I've had with her. So Mr. Irish Man, wherever you are, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Back at the ranch with all of her stuffed animals.
