Moab and the La Sal Mountains

The Stenehjem Clan headed down to Moab this past weekend for a quick trip. We camped in the La Sal mountains by Lake Oowah. It was so beautiful and the fall colors were at their peak. We were the only people at the campground and as the sun went down, we found out why ... it was FRIGID or 'bitching cold' as the French would say :)

On a great hike in the La Sal Mountains. David is stretching out a bit. Either Kjella is getting heavier and heavier or we are getting older ... or maybe it's combination of both.

Having a little scoobey-snack in the backpack.

This picture pretty much sums it up. Kjella is starting to look a little rough ... it could be a long night.

Woo-wee it's cold out here! Mom better change my diaper in record time!

Story-time in the tent

We snuggled in and survived the night with no one any worse for the wear. We got to listen to an elk bugle all night long. He was still shouting out loud and clear in the morning so the night must not have been too successful for him ...
Sunday we headed into Moab for a hike to the Fisher Towers.

Back to reality.
